5 Days Uganda Safari offers a wonderful African Adventure to track the rare mountain gorillas in Bwindi, game drive and Launch cruise in Queen Elizabeth to view concentrations of wildlife.
Day 1: Kampala – Bwindi Gorilla Forest
After an early breakfast at your hotel, you will set off for Bwindi gorilla Forest National park, located southwest of the country. You will have a short stopover at the Equator to buy some African souvenirs. You will have another stop in Mbarara town for lunch. Continue to Bwindi National Park. Later transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp (Luxury)/ Silverback Lodge (Mid range)/Buhoma community bandas (Budget).
Day 2: Gorilla tracking and Afternoon Community walk.
Today wake up early for breakfast, assemble at the park headquarters for briefing from the park rangers about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Proceed for the gorilla trekking adventure in the thick forest, the tracking may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of these giants. Meet and stay with the animals for a maximum of one hour. Return to the lodge for lunch and resting. In the evening, you may go for community walk in the nearby Batwa community, where you will be entertained and given tales of their unique culture. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park.
Have breakfast and get ready to transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park passing through the Ishasha sector, you will have an entrance game drives to see tree climbing lions and other wildlife as well as a variety of bird species. Reach Queen Elizabeth early in time for lunch at the safari lodge of our choice. In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, where you will have an opportunity to see a variety of birds such as the king fisher, herons, blue oraco and many more. You will also see game as hippos, crocodiles, buffalos, elephants as they stretch out along the channel banks. Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge/Ihamba Lodge/Kingfisher Lodge.
Day 4: Morning game drive and Chimpanzee tracking.
After breakfast, go for game drive along Kasenyi track in search for wildlife such as Lions, Leopards, herds of Elephants and Buffaloes among others, return to the lodge for late breakfast and relax as you wait for lunch. In the afternoon, go to Kyambura gorge for Chimpanzee tracking where you will also encounter other primates such as the baboons, colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer to Kampala.
After an early breakfast, set off for your journey back to Kampala with stopovers for photography at the equator and lunch reaching late in the afternoon, and you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight or to the airport for your departure flight.
