Day 1: Depart for Kibale National Park
Your Uganda safari starts off breakfast set again for Kibale National Park we’ll take the scenic drive through tea plantations and a lunch break in Fort Portal town which is 34 kms from the Main Park. The Park is home to several families of primates including habituated chimpanzees. It has 11 species of primates, including many families of chimps and colobus monkeys, buffalo, warthog, Uganda Kob and over 300 bird species. Overnight at the Ndali Lodge/Primates Lodge/Rwenzori.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Safari Uganda
Early in the morning, have breakfast and proceed to Kibale National park headquarters for a short briefing and later chimpanzee tracking. Tracking chimps is a thrilling adventure; look out for primates like the colobus monkeys, families of chimps, a diversity of birds and an abundance of butterflies and other tropical insects. Have your lunch at the lodge and proceed to visit the Bigodi wetland sanctuary a superb ecotourism site established to protect the Magombe swamps-a haven of birds (137 species) and a number of primates. Overnight at the Ndali Lodge/Primates Lodge/Rwenzori.
Day 3: Depart for Queen Elizabeth Safari Uganda
Early breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enter the park via the Northern crater Area, experience sights of the beautiful lakes and rich grasslands set deep in the crater valley. Queen Elizabeth is home to a variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, hippos, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, baboons and birds all typical savannah habitats and the famous Kazinga Channel. In the Southern Parts is the Ishasha sector with the tree climbing lions and the Maramagambo forest, one of the largest surviving natural forests in Uganda. The Northern part is traversed by the equator and is dominated by the scenery of crater lakes with lots of flamingos. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Institute of Ecology.
Day 4: Game drive and Launch Cruise
Start off your day with breakfast and proceed on a morning game drive which reward you with an opportunity to view the big cats as well as a diversity of antelopes, elephants, buffalo, and a number of birds, return to the Lodge for Lunch and some relaxation before, going for an afternoon 2 hour launch cruise on the Kazinga channel that connects lake George to Lake Edward. The launch cruise will gift you with a chance to see a number of water birds, hippos, crocodiles, elephants and buffaloes grazing on the shores. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Institute of Ecology.
Day 5: Drive back to Kampala
Early morning we depart for Kyambura George, where we climb through a tropical forest to catch a glimpse of a variety of primates including the chimpanzee, return to the lodge for lunch and prepare for departure back to Kampala.
