The 3 Days Bwindi gorilla tour is a magical encounter with the wild mountain gorillas of Uganda in the jungles of Bwindi impenetrable Forest National Park.  The trip is an opportunity to c visit one of the many gorilla families (17), which dwell in this jungle Forest. The 3 days trip offers you chance to stay 2 overnights in the wild jungle in the company of the gorillas.  Located in southwestern Uganda, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is the premier gorilla safari destination. Over half of the total population in the world lives in this impenetrable Forest National Park. The remaining populations of gorillas live in the Virunga Conservation Area, which is shared by Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda, Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda and Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Bwindi Forest is divided into four sectors (Buhoma in the north, Ruhija in the East, Rushaga and Nkuringo) in the south. Travelers can therefore choose which region to visit since experiences vary. In addition to the mountain gorillas, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park shelters over 350 bird species, which make it one of the Important Birding Areas in Africa. Other animals to see in Bwindi forest include Forest Elephants, Buffalos, Colobus monkeys, bushbucks and bush pigs among others. Nature /Forest walks in Bwindi offer you a fresh feeling of the natural environment and discover the hidden gem. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Bwindi Forest National park

Arrive at Entebbe International airport, meet u with your driver guide representing our company and get ready for a whole day drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Drive through Kampala, the capital city of Uganda as you head out to southwestern Uganda. A brief stop at the Equator for photographs is a not miss on this journey. The 8-10 hours drive to Bwindi is an interesting journey via local farms, communities, cities, hills and valleys. You will have various stops to buy roadside fresh foods, roasted maize, muchoma and fruits. Have an route lunch in Mbarara city and proceed to Bwindi arriving in the evening.

Day 2: Mountain gorilla trekking & visit batwa

After an early morning cup of coffee, transfer to the park head quarters in Bwindi impenetrable Forest National Park. After registration, assemble for briefing on the rules and regulations to follow when trekking the endangered gorillas. There after, your armed park ranger will lead you to the trekking starting point. Hiking to search for gorillas start at 8:00am and can last for between 2-7 hours based on where the allocated gorilla family will be that day. Your physical fitness and hiking speed also determine how long you will take searching for the gorillas. The trek up and won hill is undeniably strenuous but the magical feeling of looking into the eyes of the silverback gorillas are worth your effort! Spend an hour with the gorillas, cherish how these endangered primates behave together and enjoy this lifetime experience. You are continually advised to observe the guidelines such as keeping a distance of seven meters away from the gorillas, avoiding direct eye contact and the like. Keep calm, hold your camera tight and take as many memorable photos as you wish.  In the evening, go for a cultural tour to batwa pygmies to learn and experience the traditions, norms, beliefs and customs. Batwa are indigenous people who for 1000s of years lived with wild gorillas in Bwindi Forest. Enjoy cultural dances and songs performed by these short people for entertainment.

NOTE: Gorilla trekking is categorized into short, medium and long treks. Disclose your fitness and hiking abilities to the park rangers so you can be given a suitable trek to avoid any difficulties.

Day 3: Departure

Enjoy your last moments in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Wake up at your pace, enjoy a relaxed sunrise breakfast at your lodge, check out and start off a long drive back to Kampala. The drive through kigezi region and Ankole cattle farms offer you beautiful scenic views that will keep fresh in your mind even after going back to your home.
