Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi forest & visit Batwa pygmies
Arrive at Kigali International airport, meet and greet your driver guide representing our company. He will gladly and briefly take you through the itinerary, what to expect, what to do and when. Start off a drive through the beautiful Kigali city, which is ranked as the cleanest city in Africa! If you have enough time, you can visit some of the key attractions in the city Centre such as the Kigali genocide memorial Centre among others. Proceed to Rwanda Uganda Border at Cyanika/Katuna, clear with immigrations and cross to the Pearl of Africa! If you are crossing via Cyanika border, Rushaga sector in the southern region of Bwindi impenetrable Forest National Park is a best place while Buhoma region north of Bwindi Forest is best for traveler’s crossing via Katuna border. Arrive in Bwindi Forest, check into your hotel and refresh. In the evening, visit t batwa communities adjacent to the Park. Meet and interact with these indigenous people, learn their traditional forest lives and appreciate their unique customs, norms and customs. Day 2: Mountain gorilla trekking & Departure
Rise up early, have breakfast and with your packed lunch drive to the respective Bwindi Forest park head quarters. Still there, you will be put in groups of eight and each given a gorilla group to visit. The hike to search for the mountain gorillas starts at 8:00am lasting from between 2-8 hours depending on where gorillas will be located and your hiking speed.
