This spell-binding adventure begins in Kampala, from which you will head north to the untamed wilderness of Murchison falls National Park to visit the most powerful waterfalls in the World, Murchison falls. Here, you will visit the top game viewing spots and cruise on Victoria Nile while spotting unmatched views of animals and birds. Also travel to Kibale Forest, Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Impenetrable National Parks for varying wildlife encounters then sum everything up with unwinding on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi. End the safari by visiting Lake Mburo National Park before drop-off at the Airport.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe- Explore
Welcome to Entebbe! The first Capital City of Uganda is set along the shores of Lake Victoria and famous for being the Colonial Capital of the country, gateway into Uganda and most interestingly one of the most popular tourist destinations. On arrival at Entebbe Airport, a private Company safari driver will lead you to your reserved Hotel in Kampala for check-in. Having rested enough , set out to explore Uganda’s current Capital City for its Craft markets, historical and cultural sites. The Kampala City Center is the starting point of our 12 days Uganda Safari.

Day 2: Road trip to the spellbinding Murchison falls National Park
After breakfast, you will embark on an organized road trip to the spellbinding Murchison Falls National Park, north-western Uganda. During this seven to eight-hour journey, you will get the chance to explore Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary through Rhino tracking tours to see some of these animals found here, plus other residents of the Sanctuary. Then visit Masindi Hotel for lunch and afterwards continue with the journey to Uganda’s oldest and largest National Park. Be welcomed with views of different animals and in the evening relish a sumptuous meal accompanied by performance from Mubako Cultural tour. Animals here include Defassa waterbucks, African bush elephants, Jackson’s hartebeests, Uganda Kobs, common warthogs, lions, spotted hyenas, leopards, Masai giraffes, Cape buffaloes and so much more.

Day 3: Game viewing experience in Murchison falls National Park
To really enjoy the heart of Uganda’s wilderness, you will have to undertake a game drive at a time. Being the Pearl of Africa, the country boasts of an eclectic array of animals and birds. Among other animals, you will spot the Jackson’s hartebeests, Oribis, cape buffaloes, lions, African bush elephants, spotted hyenas and many others. However, our game drive ends late morning when you have to head back to the Lodge for relaxation and lunch.
The afternoon is dedicated to the Victoria Nile cruise where the Park Ranger will explain the exceptionality of the adventure with sights and sounds of Hippos, Nile crocodiles, buffaloes and Uganda in addition to birds to different species. Close the day with dinner at the Lodge before retiring to bed.

Day 4: Journey through Fort Portal to Kibale Forest National Park
Have breakfast and join your safari driver for the journey through the Albertine escarpment, Hoima and Fort Portal to Kibale Forest National Park. This Park sits on the western side of the country and is most famous for protecting the endangered chimpanzees, unique forest birds and other primate species. Upon arrival at the Town of Fort Portal, savour on a delicious meal and take another drive to your Lodge.
You will spend the evening relaxing and later dinner as well as overnight rest at one of the best Eco-lodges in Uganda’s jungles.

Day 5: Primate tour in Kibale Forest National Park
On this day, you will head into the heart of Kibale Forest National Park to go trekking along the jungles in search for the habituated chimpanzees. During this full-day walk, you will possibly transverse several ecosystems-rainforest, swamplands and sometimes open spaces while equipped with hiking boots, rain jacket, safari hat, binoculars, camera and first aid kit. It is a worthwhile activity and you will be accompanied by professional Park Rangers. Therefore, relish crossing valleys and streams and hiking over areas of varying elevations as you experience Kibale jungles up-close and personal. After several hours of this walk, the troop of chimpanzees will be found and one hour will be allotted for watching and photographing.
After your excursion in the jungles of Kibale and hot meal, you will have a lot of time to have a guided walk through Bigodi wetland Sanctuary. This brings to light more primates and birds, after which relax with dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 6: Ride from Kibale Forest National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park
The transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park is reserved for this day and it starts immediately after breakfast. Pick-up from the Lodge is by the safari driver for the 3-4 hours’ journey through scenic and charming landscapes. Having arrived at your next safari destination, you will take a short game drive while heading to the Lodge for lunch.
Take some time to enjoy the Lodge ambiance and spend the remainder of the day at leisure-cultural tour or walking safari.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park game drive and boat ride
Having rested well with dreams and memories of the previous day’s activities, there’s more adventure in store for this day. After enjoying an early breakfast at your Safari Lodge, the safari driver will pick you for the game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive along its popular game tracks is breathtaking and rewarding, affording jaw-dropping views of different landscapes as well as plethora of animals and birds. Although not guaranteed, there are chances of seeing lions, spotted hyenas, leopards, Oribis, Jackson’s hartebeests, Olive baboons, Defassa waterbucks, bushbucks, Uganda Kobs, vervet monkeys, to mention but a few. After taking time to admire the beauty of this park, you will head back to the Lodge for Lunch.
After lunch, you will embark on the 2 hours’ cruise by boat on Kazinga Channel. Here, expect unobstructed sights of Hippos and Nile crocodiles then back to the Lodge for the night.

Day 8: Expedition to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Now that you have enjoyed the wilderness experiences of Queen Elizabeth National Park, it’s now time to venture south and enjoy the jungle experiences of Bwindi National Park. Early morning, have breakfast and drive through the sweeping plains towards Ishasha sector to see the tree climbing lions and transfer to Savannah Resort for lunch.
Later leave for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with ecosystems changing from savannah to dense forest and make a grand entrance into the World’s top gorilla trekking destination with cold bath, sumptuous dinner and overnight awaiting you.

Day 9: Explore the mind-blowing Bwindi Impenetrable Forest: Gorilla trekking experience
Following breakfast at the Lodge in Bwindi, your driver will be set to pick you for an exciting transfer to the trailhead for briefing before starting the gorilla trek. The trek starts at 8:00am with several stops for photography when primates, birds of interest or outstanding tree species are sighted. Through the experience of the Ranger guide, you will gain an insight into the different animals, plants and birds that are encountered along the way. After seeing the mountain gorillas, have one hour of viewing and photography before returning for lunch at the Lodge.
Surprisingly, the day isn’t over yet after the gorilla trekking experience because a village tour is planned for the evening. Get back to the Lodge where you will refuel with sumptuous dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Experience the beauty of Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast at the Lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, you will pack up and take a road trip to Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest Lake in Africa. On arrival, you will enjoy a number of adventures such as canoe rides, followed by lunch at one of the Islands and in the evening undertake a guided nature walk. After this tour, get booked in a Lodge and spend the night relishing views of the Lake as well as comfort that it offers.

Day 11: Head to Lake Mburo National Park
Early in the morning, the driver will pick you up at your Lodge or Resort along the shores of Lake Bunyonyi and drive you to Lake Mburo National park. Situated in western Uganda, it is Uganda’s smallest savannah Park known for the most extraordinary wildlife species, dramatic landscapes and also unique tourist adventures.
Upon arrival in Lake Mburo National Park, you will be treated to jaw-dropping views of different landscapes and animals-impalas, Defassa waterbucks, Olive baboons, Cape buffaloes, Topis, zebras and sometimes Rothschild giraffes. In addition, you will come across different bird species until the Lodge. Have lunch and continue for a boat ride with more animal views especially Hippos and crocodiles as well as birds.

Day 12: Depart Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast at the Lodge, undertake a game drive through the spectacular Lake Mburo National Park while exiting and heading to Kampala City. This marks the end of our 12 days Uganda Safari.
